White to move.
Capture all of your opponent's pieces, or leave them with no legal move.
Regular pieces ("men") move diagonally forward one square at a time onto an empty square. A piece reaching the far row is crowned a king, and kings can move diagonally forward or backward.
If you jump over an adjacent enemy piece onto an empty square beyond it, that piece is captured. Capturing is mandatory: if any of your pieces can jump, you must make a capturing move. If a jump leads to another jump with the same piece, you must keep jumping to complete the whole chain in one turn — unless a man is crowned partway through, which ends its turn immediately.
The optional 40-move rule declares a draw if 40 moves pass in a row with no capture — useful for avoiding endless king-only endgames. Turn it off in the toolbar if you'd rather play without it.
Click a piece to select it and see its legal destinations highlighted (a ringed circle marks a capturing move), then click a destination. Use Undo to take back the last move (in vs-Computer mode, this takes back both your move and the computer's reply). Flip Board rotates the view.
